Navarre Employers Forum
The Vicepresident of SENER, Andrés Sendagorta, has taken part in the Navarra Employer’s Forum, an event held in the offices of the Diario de Navarra newspaper, in the city of Pamplona (Spain). Andrés Sendagorta gave a conference entitled “SENER: 62 years applying technology with a horizontal approach” as part of a series of talks organised by the University of Navarra’s Enterprise and Humanities Institute.
Ramón Varela in the Legal 500 CG Powerlist Iberia
The Legal Advisory Director of SENER, Ramón Varela, has been selected for the Legal 500 CG Powerlist Iberia, drawn up by the publication Legal 500 to highlight the best company lawyers in Portugal and Spain. In 2016 Varela was already included in this list and, in 2017, the whole SENER Legal Advisory team was recognized by Legal 500 as one of the best company legal departments in Spain.
Ranking of Top Companies in Mexico
SENER in Mexico has been included, for the third time, in the Ranking of Top Companies 2018 of the Mexican magazine Expansión, which aims to single out which are the companies most committed to the development and welfare of their human talent, by assessing their human resources policy. In this last edition, SENER ranks the 73 position out of 106 participating companies, that have been chosen between 372 firms in the category for companies with less than 500 employees.
The Spanish National Aerospace Technology Institute (INTA, in its Spanish acronym) has approved the new Recognition Terms of the ROD (Recognition as Design Organization, in Spanish) certificate of SENER, with scope for the design and certification of avionics and mission equipment installations, and cabin interiors. This recognition of extended certification includes the privilege of approving service bulletins and minor modifications to the design of aircraft and will allow SENER to address with new independence new aircraft modernization projects both in Spain and in other countries.
PERAM 145 certification
SENER has achieved the military certification PERAM 145 (Spanish Publication of Requirements for Military Airworthiness). This certification enables the company for the execution of aeronautical maintenance tasks in Madrid, from Spanish equipment and also the one coming from allied countries. This certification, Spanish version of the EMAR 145 (European Military Airworthiness Requirement) of the European Defense Agency, allows the General Management of Aerospace Engineering of SENER to extend its portfolio of capabilities to the complete life cycle of products, both its own and those of third parties, that are part of its operations.
FGROUP users meeting
SENER celebrated the ninth FGROUP, the meeting of reference users of the FORAN System, where the attendants find out and discuss the new FORAN System functionalities, its strategic plan and developments and the technological challenges of the future. This users group includes FORAN’s most important clients, such as Navantia, BAE Systems (Naval Ships and Submarines), Sanoyas, WSDDI, Babcock Marine, Severnoye DB and Rolls-Royce Marine.
Milestone in the Mexico-Toluca intercity passenger train
SENER took part in the event organized by the Mexican Department of Transportation (SCT) on 14th June to celebrate the exit of the first of the tunnelers from the western entrance, a milestone that signifies the completion of work on the right tunnel by the TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) S-948, as part of the project to build the intercity passenger train line between Mexico City and Toluca. SENER was the company responsible for drawing up the construction project for the intercity train and is currently working as a technical adviser to the SCT.
